We are in the last heavy week of our strength cycle. Working to some heavy triples this week. Let’s get it!

“The Seven” is in memory of seven US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officers and one Jordanian officer who were killed by a suicide bomber at a remote base in southeastern Afghanistan on December 30, 2009. The bomber was posing as a potential informant reporting on Al Qaeda. Seven new stars were etched onto the memorial wall at the CIA.

It’s deadlift day! WOOO!!!

Oly day! We will be maxing out our snatch and clean & jerk in a few weeks. What numbers do you have in mind?

We are moving into the last 2 HEAVY weeks of our strength cycle. After that, we will have a back off (or “deload”) week, and then we will TEST.
As we work our way through the last few weeks of this cycle, I encourage you to stay the course. We are going to be hitting heavy doubles and triples on our big lifts (squat, press, and deadlift), and you might find that you aren’t able to go as heavy as you think you should be able to.
THIS IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
Some days are stronger than others. We are not maxing out yet; we are just trying to get in some heavy reps. You should not be pushing to failure, but the reps should definitely feel very challenging. If you’re not feeling great on a given day, listen to your body and back off a bit.
Everyone has gotten so much stronger during this cycle, and I can’t wait to see your maxes in a couple of weeks!
