
Hey Team! This week marks the beginning of a new programming cycle, and, in addition to the new look for the IG posts, you’re going to notice some new things in class as well.
**DISCLAIMER: If you are only interested in getting stronger, faster, and harder to kill and don’t especially care about the reasoning behind the programming, then you can stop reading now.**
Our warm-ups are now going to include some kind of focused Skill work almost every day. This will typically look like a short EMOM or 3 sets of some accessory movements.
For example, Monday’s Skill is a 6 minute EMOM with strict T2B and supermans (alternating minutes of course). The Skill will be written on the board as part of the warm-up.
One goal of this programmed Skill work is to continue developing our strength in the gymnastics movements; another is to work some accessory movements into our everyday training.
Additionally, about once each week, there will be a day where we don’t do a major lift, and just do a LONG conditioning piece to work on improving our aerobic capacity.
All of that being said, our main focus is going to remain the same: get stronger and more fit in general.
